New Pligg.com Advertiser: Plant Change

I would like to take a moment to thank our newest advertiser for joining the Pligg.com advertiser group. Plant Change is based out of Australia, but it will definitely gather a global audience considering it’s popular niche and great custom design. This years environmental issues have been a hot topic in the media, thanks a lot to Al Gore’s film An Inconvenient Truth that helped spread awareness of global warming. Ever since hybrid, ethanol and carbon reduction have become common words used by advertisers to help sell products. If you enjoy Plant Change, be sure to also check out another environmental Pligg site Hugg.

I wrote about APEC on my previous posting, and the meeting is finally finish by today. Even though there are a lot of prime minister and president from other countries such as china, Canada , and also Indonesia , but all the media here are keep writing about George Bush. We even got public holiday on last friday, and some people call it not as APEC day, but as “Bush day”. Kind of funny isn’t it.

Pligg sites up for sale

pligg sitePligg, one of my favorite open source CMS for building Digg clone website is up for sale on sedo. The reason of the sale is because pligg has grown very fast and well beyond the developer expectations, and it is getting difficult for the developers to manage the business side of Pligg on a daily basis without slowing down development. Which consists mainly of advertising, support, and community management. Pligg owner believe that by allowing more seasoned professionals take over the day to day management of Pligg, it will allow Pligg to flourish into realm’s that they never thought possible. As far as i know, Pligg content management system is quite popular because it give the ability for user to create digg clone website. And i’ve seen many developer selling pligg custom templates and modules recently, so it proves that there quite a lot of pligg user in the market. I also have one website which is using pligg engine, its an Australian Bargain website. I would say pligg is one the best CMS to make website like digg, but the loading time is a bit slow in my opinion.
